Digital Learning Designer
During my time as a Digital Learning Designer I helped to set up and manage a brand-new companywide learning platform: creating fun, engaging and informative courses in 3 different languages (English, Spanish & German). Liaising with relevant stakeholders and managing expectations when needed.

I was involved with the whole end-to-end process for the eLearning content; from the initial scoping meetings to building the modules using Articulate Storyline, Rise and PowerPoint and managing the day-to-day running of the LMS.
Presenting to top level management and conducting viewing parties for a demonstration and open discussion about certain modules.

I produced various graphics/characters for the modules and the LMS itself. These were used to tell a story and enhance the message of the subject. Some of the characters were used as regular protagonists and antagonists in the storylines of several modules.
The LMS needed its own identity and to be easily recognisable to staff members no matter their position or area of the business. The Hubert owl character came from an idea of a friendly mentor helping you on your development journey. It is now associated with the whole L&D team.

Left: This is an example of how I used graphics/illustrations in a module for an update in the IMS system, with a 'detective investigating a case' storyline.
Right: Examples of ideas for future modules.

I was involved in conducting a series of competitions to help improve the visibility of the Hubert platform and the L&D team as a whole, all whilst improving my skills in Articulate 360 and gaining insightful and helpful feedback. The activity above is a match game in which the player is captured by the evil Wartin and must answer questions in order to gain time for the main game where, only if they succeed in the time limit, they can escape.
The competitions gained high level interaction and great reviews. I also went live on the internal radio station to announce the winners.

As part of a department initiative to embed the company values into the onboarding stage for new employees I was tasked to come up with a fun activity to get people involved and talking about the values after they had left the training room.
I came up with the idea of a Top Trumps style game that creates discussion of the values and also a bit of controversy. Making the game and more importantly the values memorable for the players far beyond the onboarding stage. This was then adapted for each country.
