The Leaderbox system is being used in schools all across the country, creating the leaders of tomorrow.
As well as designing for Leaderbox I have had the opportunity to expand into writing games and scenarios for the system. This example is for KS3 (11-14 year olds) and focuses on creative thinking and decision-making.
I was the sole designer on this project and produced various different outcomes. The game manuals varied from KS1-KS5 and the overall design needed to be fun, engaging and easily accessible.
Many of the games involved handouts/extra products. I produced numerous extras including worksheets, game cards and illustrative characters. The use of bright colours and flat illustrations were used to capture the feeling of enjoyment and enthusiasm. Leaderbox is a system which needs to be entertaining as well as educational.
I was tasked to come up with a selection of interactive games as part of the Leaderbox e-learning initiative. Using a Wordpress plugin I produced a number of games that aim to bring the learning points from the Leaderbox exercises into the digital world.
